About the role
We're looking for a Graphic Designer who can help shape how TransferX looks, feels, and communicates.
You'll work across branding, social media, digital campaigns, events, presentations, merchandise, and other marketing materials. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ideas into strong visual communication and wants their work to reach a real student community.
What you'll do
- Create graphics for social media, campaigns, events, and marketing initiatives
- Design digital and print materials for TransferX programs and events
- Develop visual concepts that communicate our mission clearly
- Maintain and evolve TransferX's visual identity
- Create promotional materials for fellowships, scholarships, events, and student programs
- Design presentations, flyers, posters, merchandise, and other brand materials
- Collaborate with the marketing and community teams on campaigns
- Create content that is engaging and relevant to college students
- Help establish reusable templates and visual systems
- Explore new visual directions and creative ideas for the brand
What we're looking for
- Strong visual design and communication skills
- Good understanding of typography, layout, composition, and color
- Experience with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take a concept from idea to finished design
- Ability to design for different platforms and audiences
- Creative thinking and willingness to experiment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bonus points
- Motion graphics or video editing experience
- Illustration or 3D experience
- Experience with social media design
- Experience creating brand identities
- Experience designing merchandise
- Experience working with student organizations, nonprofits, or startups
Portfolio
A portfolio is highly encouraged for this role.
