About the role
TransferX is looking for a Community Manager to help us build a strong, active, and supportive community for transfer students.
You'll be at the center of our student community, connecting with students, ambassadors, community colleges, student organizations, and partners. You'll help us understand what students need, create meaningful engagement opportunities, and turn our community into a place where students feel supported throughout their transfer journey.
What you'll do
- Build and manage TransferX's student community
- Engage with students across social media and community platforms
- Recruit, onboard, and support TransferX ambassadors
- Build relationships with student organizations and community colleges
- Coordinate student outreach campaigns
- Plan and support workshops, meetups, webinars, and other community events
- Develop strategies to increase student participation and engagement
- Listen to student feedback and communicate insights to the team
- Create community content and engagement initiatives
- Track community growth and engagement metrics
- Help develop and maintain ambassador programs
- Identify opportunities to expand TransferX into new schools and communities
What we're looking for
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable talking to students and building relationships
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- Strong written communication skills
- Interest in education, community building, student success, or technology
- Comfortable using social media and online community platforms
- Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
